Stillhaven is a private farm tucked into the woods of southern New Hampshire, just minutes from the University of New Hampshire and a short drive from the Seacoast.
The farm is not open to the public. Visits are by appointment only and limited to those participating in a scheduled experience, whether one on one or in a small group. This keeps the space quiet, contained, and separate from the pace of the outside world.
Stillhaven exists to slow things down. To breathe. To step out of constant motion and noise and leave the rest of life at the edge of the property for a while.
Time here is intentionally unhurried. People come to be outdoors, to be with animals, and to return to a steadier center before heading back into everyday demands.
This is not therapy. It is a place designed to help people pause, reset, and reenter the world with more calm than they arrived with.

Stillhaven is for people who are looking for a place where they can slow down, breathe, and spend time without pressure, performance, or explanation.
People come for many reasons. Some are adults navigating demanding work, caregiving roles, or ongoing stress. Some work in medicine, mental health, education, or other helping fields and spend much of their time attending to others. Others are creatives, students, or individuals who feel worn down by the pace and noise of everyday life.
Stillhaven also welcomes teens who are feeling overwhelmed, sensitive to their environments, or in need of a calm, grounding space outside of school and social pressure. It often resonates with teens who are thoughtful, introverted, neurodivergent, creative, or simply tired of having to keep up or fit in.
The farm is especially comfortable for people who are sensitive, neurodivergent, or easily overstimulated by busy or high energy environments. It tends to suit those who benefit from predictability, quiet, and gentle structure.
What connects most visitors is a shared desire for gentle mindfulness and quiet connection. Time at Stillhaven is an opportunity to drop the mask, step out of constant roles, and be outdoors with animals and nature in a way that feels simple and grounding.
Stillhaven is not therapy and is not intended for people in acute crisis. It is a non clinical environment for those who are generally functioning but tired, offering space to pause and return to daily life feeling more steady.

Stillhaven is the private farm of the founders of Home At Last Farm, a nonprofit miniature horse and donkey rescue. The farm supports Home At Last Farm’s mission in two ways: by providing space and daily care for rescue animals, and by contributing financially to the rescue’s ongoing work. A portion of Stillhaven’s profits are directed back to Home At Last Farm to help fund rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care.
Many of the equines at Stillhaven are owned by Home At Last Farm and may live here as part of foster placement, recovery, or long-term care. These animals are cared for alongside the resident horses under the same standards.
Because these are rescued animals, experiences at Stillhaven are intentionally structured to remain predictable and manageable. Group sizes are limited, activities are thoughtfully chosen, and interactions are never rushed or forced. The horses and donkeys are treated as living beings with preferences and boundaries, not as props or attractions.
That same respect for the animals shapes the pace and structure of everything that happens at Stillhaven and extends to the people who visit as well.

People are drawn to Stillhaven for many reasons. Some are here to spend time with the miniature horses or the natural setting. Others are looking for a different way to unwind, reflect, or connect that doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Stillhaven is simply a place for those looking to spend time, whether alone or alongside others, in a way that feels comfortable and not forced.
